Liverpool dismiss Arne Slot after second-season Premier League slide

Liverpool have removed head coach Arne Slot from the post after two seasons, despite his Premier League-winning start at Anfield.
After claiming the title in his opening campaign, Slot saw the Reds drop off badly in year two, placing fifth and closing the season 25 points adrift of champions Arsenal.
The club's ownership acknowledged Slot's leadership, effort and success, while saying the call to move on was a hard one.
Andoni Iraola, previously manager of Burn-muth, is now being seen as the main option to succeed him at Anfield.
