Wigton Energy Earnings Fall as Costs Offset Revenue Gains
Wigton Energy says its bottom line weakened significantly for the year ending March 2026, even as income from operations improved.
Net earnings came in at $208.5 million, about 31 per cent below the prior year's result. Revenue moved up roughly 6 per cent to a little more than $1.96 billion, supported by higher electricity sales.
The gains were not enough to counter increased operating expenses. Finance costs remained a major charge, though below last year's level, while other income fell to approximately $405 million.
