Magnum Named Title Sponsor for A Taste of Reggae Sumfest

1 min readSt. James

Magnum Tonic Wine has been confirmed as title sponsor for Reggae Sumfest, the major Caribbean music festival, strengthening the brand’s established connection to dancehall culture.

Through the years, Magnum has built a visible presence around Sumfest, creating lively fan experiences that go beyond the performances on the main stage.

The 2026 staging, being presented as A Taste of Reggae Sumfest, is expected to close with a major dancehall moment, as Vybz Kartel and Mavado are billed as headline acts.

Their appearance is being framed as a significant turn for the genre, moving attention from past rivalry towards legacy, while underscoring dancehall’s continuing reach outside Jamaica.

Pavel Smith, marketing manager at J Wray & Nephew Limited, said Magnum’s place in that story is guided by clear strategy and a strong sense of purpose.

The festival’s recent international launch in Miami also marked DownSound Entertainment’s 10th year leading Reggae Sumfest, a milestone Smith described as important and in step with Magnum’s aim of helping Jamaica grow its worldwide cultural presence.

Attention now shifts to the local official launch scheduled for Wednesday, June 10, as expectations build for the July event.

Magnum Reggae Sumfest: A Taste of Reggae Sumfest is planned as a single-night, high-energy production, with performances, memorable moments and audience engagement tied to the festival’s standing in Jamaica’s entertainment calendar.
