Magnum to Bring Recording Booth, Dance Classes to Reggae Sumfest Experience

Magnum Reggae Sumfest: ‘A Taste of Reggae Sumfest’ is set to offer patrons more than the usual top-tier stage show this year, with Magnum Tonic Wine rolling out an attraction built to pull fans directly into dancehall culture.

As title sponsor of the Caribbean’s leading music festival, Magnum says it is transforming space at Plantation Cove into an interactive zone centred on the sound, style and movement of dancehall. The company’s activation is being positioned as one of the major draws at the event.

At the heart of the setup will be a premium lounge called Magnum Endz, along with special bucket deals, photo-ready installations and lively entertainment meant to keep the energy up before the show begins and while the night unfolds.

The brand will also stage what it says is a first for the festival by placing a recording studio inside the activation. That addition is expected to give aspiring artistes and other music fans a chance to go behind the mic and get a feel for cutting a track in a professional environment.

Magnum says the feature is intended both to help uncover talent and to create a standout memory for patrons who want a shareable festival moment.

Another key part of the activation will come from veteran dancer Shelly Belly, who is slated to host live dancehall classes. Festivalgoers, whether experienced dancers or complete beginners, are expected to get lessons in some of the best-known moves in the culture from one of Jamaica’s recognised performers.

“Magnum Endz is all about bringing fans closer to the culture they love,” said Brandon Wallace, brand manager for Magnum. “For years, our brand has proudly invested in dancehall because we understand its impact, not only as music but as a lifestyle and a powerful expression of Jamaican creativity. This year, we wanted to create an experience — a Magnum Experience — where patrons don’t simply watch the culture unfold but where they can record it, dance it, celebrate it and truly live it. We are creating big moments that people will remember long after Reggae Sumfest ends.”

According to Wallace, the activation is another example of Magnum’s ongoing support for dancehall through experiences designed to create genuine engagement while highlighting the personalities helping to shape the genre.

“Every element has been carefully curated to encourage self-expression, connection, and memorable experiences that extend beyond the main stage,” Wallace added.

From time inside Magnum Endz and access to Magnum bucket specials, to sessions in the recording booth and new steps from Shelly Belly and his crew, the company believes the Magnum Experience will stand among the defining features of ‘A Taste of Reggae Sumfest’. While the performances will remain the main attraction, Magnum is aiming to make patrons feel like part of the production itself.
