Magnum Takes Title Sponsorship For Taste Of Reggae Sumfest

Magnum Tonic Wine has been named the title sponsor for Reggae Sumfest, the major Caribbean music festival, strengthening the brand’s connection to dancehall culture.
The brand has built a visible presence around Reggae Sumfest over several years, supporting lively entertainment experiences linked to the festival as well as the performances on stage.
This year’s event, titled “A Taste of Reggae Sumfest”, is expected to close with a major dancehall pairing, as Vybz Kartel and Mavado are scheduled to headline.
Their appearance is being framed as an important moment for the genre, moving from a history of rivalry toward a legacy-focused celebration of dancehall’s reach and influence worldwide.
Pavel Smith, marketing manager at J Wray & Nephew Limited, said Magnum’s place in that story is guided by strategy and a clear sense of purpose.
The festival was recently launched internationally in Miami, a development that also recognised DownSound Entertainment’s 10th year leading Reggae Sumfest. Smith said that milestone is significant and fits Magnum’s aim of helping to widen Jamaica’s presence on the global stage.
Attention now turns to the official local launch, scheduled for Wednesday, June 10, as preparations continue for the July staging.
Planned as a one-night, concentrated entertainment package, Magnum Reggae Sumfest “A Taste of Reggae Sumfest” is being positioned to deliver the performances, memorable moments and audience energy that have helped make the festival a fixture in Jamaica’s entertainment calendar.
