Recovery crews removed the badly burned remains of two people from a wrecked vehicle along the PJ Patterson Highway in Manchester early this morning.

The crash happened on the Toll Gate to Mandeville corridor at about 3:45 a.m., reports indicate.

A white Toyota Noah with two people inside was travelling along the roadway when the driver is said to have failed to take a corner, lost control and struck a wall.

The vehicle then caught fire. The two occupants could not be identified at the scene. Their remains were removed and transported to the morgue.
