Manchester Relatives Mourn Andrew Williams After Gunshots Found Him at Home in Porus

2 min readManchester

Relatives in Manchester are reeling after Andrew Williams was found dead at his residence on Thursday morning, his body bearing multiple gunshot wounds.

The discovery was made in Trinity District near Porus, where Williams lived. He was located around 11:00 a.m. face down inside the home, with what appeared to be several bullet wounds to his upper body.

Williams worked as a landscaper and was known affectionately as "one son" among his kin. The killing has stunned loved ones who say they cannot comprehend how he died.

His brother Gerald told CVM, "We are not taking it easy because Andrew has been sick for a long time. However, um we're not expecting him to go in this way by having um died by the bullets.."

Gerald described Williams as a generous, kind, and loving man who put others first. "In fact, we're from a family of 11 and he's the first to have passed in this tragic way. There one son, we call him Andrew, has been a brother who is passionate about [music] family. He has three sons. Yes. and he just loves people. He would do anything for you. He never says never. He never says no."

The eldest sister, Doreth, said the loss is difficult to accept. "Anything you ask him to do, he'll do it... He's just he was just a people person, a loving person. Anything you ask me that say Andrew you can get we can get coconut you see the dry coconut or the jelly or whatever… naseberry, anything, you understand me, anything you ask him to do he'll do. He's just a loving brother."

The Williams family is already making funeral arrangements for another relative set for Friday, and must now confront a second bereavement in quick succession.

Gerald said, "We are strong we're a Christian family we're a praying family. We are strong and we will continue to bond. This will make us stronger, right? We will not lose faith. We will not lose hope because we know that the God we serve is able to do exceedingly and abundantly more than we ask or think."

As investigators work to determine what led to the shooting, relatives continue to search for answers while leaning on faith and one another through their grief.
