Mark Golding has made his statutory declarations and is above board

Leader of the Opposition Mark Golding is making it clear that despite assertions that he has not revealed his statutory declarations, nothing can be further from the truth and that he has listed all assets, liabilities of himself, his wife and children for the period January 1 2024 to December 31, 2024.
This was certified by the Integrity Commission and was published in the Jamaica Gazette.
A member of the PNP speaking with Our Today said: “ You can’t buy into the propaganda of the Labourites or trust the information they put out. Everybody knows that Mark Golding is an honourable man, a top attorney and is ethical. He has made his net worth known to all and has not obfuscated or delayed revealing pertinent information that the public has a right to know.
“Can Prime Minister Andrew Holnesss explain his wealth? Has he met all the Integrity Commissions requirements? Has he been deemed above board? Considering the importance of NaRRA ,can a parliamentarian, let alone the Prime Minister distribute resources when he himself is still under scrutiny? Why don’t you write a story about that?”
The Integrity Commission is mandated by law to publish notices confirming the certification of the Statutory Declarations submitted by both the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition.

The Prime Minister has taken issue with the Integrity Commission’s handling of his Statutory Declarations and the matter is before the the courts. He has made it known that he has been treated unfairly on this matter.
Mark Golding response to Young Jamaica, the youth arm of the Jamaica Labour Party was quick, within twenty-four hours.
Prime Minister Holness’ 2018 Statutory Declaration shows he has a net worth of J$159 million. He has denied claims of illicit enrichment.
The Director of Corruption Prosecution ruled that there was insufficient evidence to establish that Prime Minister Holness knowingly made false statements or omissions in his declarations.
On the Integrity Commission’s queries, Prime Minister Holness has said: “ We must do everything to ensure that the appropriate laws are in place to prevent the politicisation of the Commission and to support the Commission in its work. We must also ensure that the Commission, itself is efficient and pays due regard to the use of public funds and the time and resources required of public officials to comply.”
