
Miguel Anderson killed in Quarry Hill, Spanish Town gun attack
Police in St Catherine are looking for four men accused of killing an 18-year-old construction worker during a shooting in Quarry Hill, Spanish Town, on Saturday night.
The dead teen has been named as Miguel Anderson, also known as 'Bingy', who lived in Quarry Hill.
According to reports, about 8 p.m., Anderson was seated on a chair inside a business place when four men armed with guns confronted him.
The men fired at Anderson, striking him several times.
Another man, who was sitting in a parked motor vehicle close by, was also shot at. He was not hurt, but bullets damaged the vehicle.
The shooters left the community after the attack.
The police were called and, when they got to the location, found Anderson with injuries to his upper body.
He was taken to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Investigators have not identified a reason for the killing. The shooting happened near a section now covered by a 48-hour curfew.
The Spanish Town Criminal Investigation Branch is carrying out the probe.
