Apple TV’s forthcoming American crime thriller miniseries Lucky took its premiere bows Monday at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles.
Jonathan Tropper created the show, which casts Anya Taylor-Joy — known for Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga — with Annette Bening, Timothy Olyphant and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor. Reese Witherspoon and Cassie Pappas are among the producers.
The drama draws on Marissa Stapley’s 2021 novel and begins streaming on July 15, with social media moments from the red-carpet event also circulating.
