Labour Ministry Flags Bogus Canada Work Programme Registration Papers

Jamaicans are being cautioned by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security after forged Canada Work Programme registration certificates began appearing in the public domain.

According to the Ministry, it never produces papers that certify someone has enrolled for foreign job openings. Officials are pressing people to refuse demands for money, withhold personal details, and disregard any document that cannot be confirmed as genuine.

The alert comes after the Ministry published its roster of authorised overseas employment placement firms for July 2026. Anyone chasing work abroad is advised to deal exclusively with agencies on that official list.

Before submitting an application, the Ministry wants residents to check claims with the agency itself or through the Ministry’s own verified platforms.
