Morant Bay musician faces rape and gun charges after villa assault claims

1 min readSt. Thomas

A 61-year-old musician has been formally charged with multiple sex and firearm offences following claims that two teenage girls assaulted him at a guest house in Morant Bay, St. Thomas, on July 5, police reported on Wednesday.

Keeble Mclune faces counts of rape, sexual intercourse with a person under 16 years, use of a firearm to commit a schedule offense, and assault at common law, the force said.

According to investigators, Mclune is alleged to have abused the girls on several prior occasions and paid them afterwards. In a separate encounter with one of them, he is said to have pointed a firearm at her head and warned that he would hurt her and her relatives unless she complied with his demands.

Authorities further stated that on Sunday, July 5, he took both girls to the Morant Bay guest house and assaulted them again.

“It was alleged that both girls then attacked and stabbed him multiple times resulting in him fleeing the scene in his motor vehicle. The incident was reported to the police and Mclune was later arrested and charged after a question-and-answer session,” the police said.

His court appearance date is still being arranged, they added.
