
Stephen Francis, the Jamaican sprint coach who built MVP Track Club into a global force, has died after a long illness. He was 64.
Francis stood among the most accomplished and widely respected figures in the island's athletics history. He founded MVP Track Club and led it as head coach.
Across his career, he developed athletes who reached Olympic and World Championship podiums, strengthening Jamaica's standing at the summit of international sprinting.
