Neymar Misses Brazil’s Haiti Clash as Calf Injury Keeps Star in New Jersey

1 min read

Brazil forward Neymar will not feature in his nation’s second FIFA World Cup group game against Haiti as he works through a calf injury.

The Brazilian Football Confederation confirmed the 34-year-old will stay in New Jersey to finish the last stage of his recovery programme.

Neymar has not completed a full training session with the squad since arriving at camp. He picked up the injury while representing Santos in May.

Brazil began their World Cup run with a 1-1 draw against Morocco. Officials still expect he could rejoin the team later in the competition.
