Kingston Construction Worker, 28, Charged Over Ocho Rios Supermarket Break-In
A 28-year-old construction worker from Kingston is expected to appear in court soon in connection with an alleged supermarket break-in in Ocho Rios, St. Ann, on Thursday, 2 July.
Jason Matthews, of Rose Lane, Kingston, has been charged with House Breaking and Larceny (Shop).
The Ocho Rios Police reported that around 2:40 a.m., they received word of an intrusion at a supermarket in the town. When officers reached the scene, Matthews was surrendered to the responding team.
A search of the property uncovered US$4,644 at the back of the building and J$253,000 on the roof. Matthews was arrested and subsequently charged after he allegedly admitted to the offence. His court date has not yet been set.
