Jamaica to Observe National Labour Day 2026 on May 25
The Ministry of Labour and Social Security has notified Jamaicans that National Labour Day 2026 is set for Saturday, May 23, 2026, but will be recognised on Monday, May 25, 2026, in keeping with section 2 of the Holidays (Public General) Act and paragraph 4 of its Schedule.
As a result, Jamaica will treat Monday, May 25, 2026, as National Labour Day. Saturday, May 23, 2026, will not be a public holiday.
