Tropical wave drifts west as second system approaches Jamaica

1 min read

A tropical wave currently sits to Jamaica’s west and is projected to continue westward, clearing the island by tonight.

Forecasters then expect a separate tropical wave to track over Jamaica from Monday through Tuesday morning.

Conditions tonight should stay mostly fair. Tuesday morning may bring partly cloudy skies over the eastern parishes, with mainly fair weather elsewhere.

By Tuesday afternoon and evening, skies are likely to turn cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms focused chiefly on western and central parishes.
