Opposition spokesman and St Ann MP back Ministry of Health blood drive

Senior parliamentarians are backing the Ministry of Health's blood donation drive and asking Jamaicans to sign up as voluntary donors.

Philip Brave, who speaks for the Opposition on business in Parliament, said he fully supports the ministry's campaign. He urged members of the public to step forward and give blood, describing the act as a direct way to protect lives. "Giving blood is saving life," he said.

Kenneth Russell, the member of parliament for South East St Ann, made a similar appeal. He encouraged people to share a real part of themselves by donating blood so that patients who depend on supplies can receive help.

Russell said donors also gain from the process, noting that the body replaces donated blood with new cells. He closed with a simple request for people to give a little blood as a practical way to assist others in need.
