Police say a father and his son were discovered dead inside a New Forest, Manchester residence early Friday, with their hands tied and injuries believed to have been caused by gunfire.
According to reports, people in the community contacted the police after hearing explosions about 12:15 a.m. When the responding team got to the location, the two men were found wounded. They were both declared dead at the property.
The younger man was reportedly an aspiring recording artiste who used the name 'Fido'. Up to publication time, the authorities had not verified the legal names of either victim.
The double killing has added to unease over violence in the Manchester Police Division. Up to May 31, the division was investigating 14 murders, up from eight over the same period last year, a 75 per cent rise.
