Paul Morgan banks on lived experience for Lutan Fyah single My Story

Producer Paul Morgan is staking his latest release on genuine lived experience. My Story, recorded with reggae artiste Lutan Fyah, is the lead single from Fyah’s forthcoming set The King of Rasta.

The tune maps hardship, victory and steady faith, shaped by accounts Morgan and Fyah have swapped for years.

“Lutan is my bredren, and we’ve always shared different aspects of growing up in sufferation. So I knew he was the right person for this project,” said Morgan.

Salamon ‘Triple Ess’ Salmon wrote, arranged and engineered the track, which urges listeners to press on and lean on divine timing.

“Don’t dwell on doubt. Just persevere and trust God that everything will work out at the right time,” Morgan said. “With so many crises and hardships happening across the world, the song is very relatable.”

Morgan argues the cut sets itself apart through frank storytelling, Fyah’s signature voice and a true reggae feel.

“What Lutan brought to this project is super melody, an authentic reggae sound, and genuine experiences,” he said.

A My Story video is due out on July 19. Morgan said a wide push across digital and traditional channels will back the roll-out.
