PBS Group lifts Q1 2026 profit 64.7% to $2.8 million as revenue falls 10%

PBS Group has turned in a stronger profit performance for the opening quarter of 2026, even as sales came in below the level recorded for the same period a year earlier. Executives attribute the result to sharper operating efficiency and more disciplined financial oversight.
For the three months ended March 31, profit after tax reached $2.8 million, a 64.7 per cent jump year on year. The gain reflected reduced financing expenses and a more effective approach to managing debt.
Top-line income moved in the opposite direction. Revenue declined by ten per cent to $84.6 million when measured against the comparable quarter last year.
Beyond the accounts, the group signalled continued regional growth. That push includes new senior appointments in the Eastern Caribbean and collaborative work tied to digital transformation and education programmes.
Looking ahead to the full 2026 financial year, PBS Group said it is aiming for double-digit increases in revenue, cash flow, and profitability.
