St. Catherine police probe death of Kitson Town farmer Lascelles Kerr
Members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force have opened a murder probe after the partially decayed remains of an elderly man were discovered at a house in Kitson Town, St. Catherine, yesterday. The victim has been named as Lascelles Kerr, 80, a farmer of Naseberry Grove.
Police say that at about 8:15 a.m., people living nearby detected a strong stench coming from Kerr’s residence and contacted the authorities. When officers got to the property, they found Kerr’s body in an advanced state of decay and noted that his head had been badly struck. A concrete block and bits of wood were reportedly recovered beside where he lay.
