Three-Parish Police Probe After Missing Manchester Woman and Security Guard Found Dead
Police teams from three parishes are now working together after the bodies of a missing Manchester woman and a security guard linked to the inquiry into her disappearance were found on Thursday.
The woman has been identified as 40-year-old Kedecia McLeod, while the man has been named as 50-year-old Maurice Sennel. The two were reportedly involved in a relationship.
Investigators from the Manchester, St Elizabeth and St Ann police divisions are coordinating the case. McLeod had been reported missing on Tuesday, June 9.
According to reports, her body was located about 9:30 a.m. Thursday in a field in the Peppers area of St Elizabeth. A farmer heading to his property reportedly came across the body and contacted the police.
Police personnel spent several hours at the location while the scene was examined and evidence collected.
Earlier that same day, police in St Ann responded to a scene in Brown’s Town, where Sennel was found dead. Investigators said he had a gunshot wound to the head, and his firearm was reportedly recovered close to the body.
The police are reportedly handling Sennel’s death as a suspected suicide. He is said to have sent messages to friends and church groups suggesting that he planned to end his life.
Sources said detectives looking into McLeod’s disappearance had wanted to interview Sennel, who was believed to be her significant other. He was reportedly listed as a person of interest in that investigation.
The discovery of the two bodies only hours apart has led to a joint police effort involving detectives from all three divisions.
The full details surrounding both deaths have not yet been determined, and the investigations remain active. The police are asking anyone who can help with information to contact them.
