JCF Officer Interdicted After Fatal Granville Shooting in St James

Senior Jamaica Constabulary Force leadership has placed an officer on interdiction in connection with a fatal shooting in Granville, St James, on Sunday.
The Police High Command took the step after an initial review of closed-circuit television footage, the force said. The JCF stated that conduct outside the law or below professional standards will not be accepted.
Officials said the matter remains under active investigation and repeated the force's pledge to accountability, transparency, and public trust.
The Independent Commission of Investigations and the Internal Affairs and Professional Standards Oversight Bureau have also begun full inquiries into the incident.
