St Catherine Police Charge Three After Alleged Gun Threat in Central Village

1 min readSt. Catherine

Investigators in St Catherine have charged three people, one of them a woman, in connection with claims that firearms were used to intimidate a female complainant in Central Village.

Officers assigned to the Central Village Police Station brought the charges on Thursday against 22-year-old Nakadia Wedderman of Central Village, along with 27-year-old Damani Brown and 30-year-old Shamar Brown, both of Big Lane in the same community.

The trio has been booked for possession of a prohibited weapon and assault at common law.

Authorities say that at roughly 1:00 pm on July 6, the complainant—who had an earlier falling-out with Wedderman—was on her way to the Central Village Police Station to lodge a formal complaint when she was approached by all three accused.

Investigators allege that the two men drove up in a motor car, aimed guns at the woman, made threats against her, and then left the area with Wedderman.

The incident was reported to law enforcement, sparking an inquiry that led to the suspects being identified, taken into custody, and formally charged. Arrangements are now under way for them to appear before the courts.
