In Kingston, the murder trial of dancehall entertainer Munga Honorable, given as Damian Raoden, and co-accused Sheldon Gordon began Monday in the Home Circuit Court. They are charged in relation to the 2017 killing of Cleveland Smith in Ackee Walk, St Andrew. A witness testified that she saw the accused firing at Smith. Their bail was briefly revoked before being extended until Thursday.

A flash flood watch was also issued until 5 p.m. Wednesday for low-lying and flood-prone sections of Westmoreland, St Elizabeth, Manchester, Clarendon, St Catherine, St Thomas, Kingston and St Andrew, as a tropical wave and upper-level trough were expected to bring heavy showers, thunderstorms and gusty winds.

Separately, Justice Dale Palmer ruled that a statement from deceased witness Shannice Roberts may be admitted in the Clansman gang trial. The statement relates to the February 7, 2020 killing of Lennox Smith at the Half-Way Tree police station in St Andrew. Michael Wildman, Jerome Sparks, Nashan Guest and Giovanni McDonald are before the court in connection with that murder and robbery.
