“Amazing Shape” earns Popcaan first Billboard Hot 100 entry

Dancehall superstar Popcaan has officially earned his first-ever entry on the Billboard Hot 100, as his feature on “Amazing Shape” with Drake debuts at #76 on this week’s chart. The track appears on Drake’s Maid Of Honour album, part of the Canadian rapper’s surprise triple-album release.

It also marks Popcaan’s fourth entry on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100, where the track debuts at #43, becoming his second-highest-charting appearance on the list. His highest remains “We Caa Done,” another collaboration with Drake, which entered at #36.

Over the years, the Jamaican star and the Canadian rapper have built a strong musical partnership through several collaborations. Their 2020 hit “Twist & Turn,” featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR, debuted at #47 on the Canadian Hot 100, while Gorillaz track “Saturnz Barz,” featuring Popcaan, entered at #75.

The latest milestone further highlights Popcaan’s global reach and his strong fanbase across Canada, where his collaborations with Drake continue to resonate with audiences.

Meanwhile, Popcaan’s collaboration “Risky” with Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has officially surpassed 100 million views on YouTube, while also pulling over 50 million streams on Spotify.

Originally released ahead of Davido’s album A Good Time, “Risky” became one of Davido’s biggest international crossover records while further strengthening Popcaan’s global catalogue and reach. The track was certified Gold in Canada on January 13, 2025, recognizing over 40,000 units in sales and streams.
