Porsche Jamaica unveiled the latest flavour of their top-selling SUV, the Cayenne, at an exclusive preview event held on Tuesday, April 28, at AC Hotel Kingston.

“The Porsche Cayenne Coupé Black Edition is bold, refined, and unmistakably confident. It brings together the practicality of a luxury SUV with the soul and spirit of a true sports car,” Shauwn Gracey, sales manager, Porsche Jamaica, told those in attendance.

The Cayenne Black Edition is designed around a set of packaged options that can be purchased as standard equipment.

“Because no two Porsches are the same, we invite customers to create their own order to configure their Porsche, and in doing so persons would start with a base, then you add elements or equipment as you go along. Sometimes that works out to be a bit more expensive, because the more options you add, the more the cost goes up. What Porsche has done now is to enable a customer to get all the nice luxury components added to the vehicle for just one price,” explained Gracey.

The Black Edition starts not with the paint, but the badging and external trim of the Cayenne for a different visual feel.

High-gloss black is used for the Porsche logo and model name badge, as are the side mirrors, to name a few of the enhancements.

Twenty-one-inch wheels are standard, as is the addition of the exhaust tips from the sports exhaust system and adaptive air suspension.

Inside, Black Edition buyers can look forward to 14-way powered seating with cooling and heating, the BOSE surround sound stereo system.

The Black Edition treatment can be attached to any Cayenne and gives even more room for options, while still retaining the core performance and luxury of the vehicle.

“The Cayenne is very important to the Porsche Jamaica model line-up, especially in this market where Jamaica is seen as an SUV market,” Gracey said.
