Road tour traces key Buff Bay routes and landmarks in Portland

A driving tour in Portland gives viewers a road-level look at Buff Bay, following a northeast route from White River into the town and onward toward nearby communities. The journey begins along Nelson Street, identified as part of the B1 Buff Bay to Balcarres Road, before entering Buff Bay with the Buff Bay River on the left and Cold Harbour District on the right.

Several local roads and landmarks are pointed out through the town. Reservoir Road, Cold Harbour Main and St. Agnes Catholic Church appear on the right. Goldmine, also identified as Goldmine Road, is described as a route leading to St. Agnes Infant School, Gideon Gospel Chapel, Gideon Early Childhood and Educational Centre, Buff Bay High School and other places.

The route continues past 6th Avenue, 5th Avenue, Alston, 4th Avenue and 3rd Avenue on the right, while the Buff Bay Church of God of Prophecy is noted on the left. Farther along, 2nd Avenue is on the right, Oracabessa is identified on the left, and 1st Avenue is said to lead to the Buff Bay Seventh-day Adventist Church. The drive also passes the Buff Bay Church of God Holiness before moving onto Thompson Avenue.

On Thompson Avenue, Baker Street is identified as the road to Buff Bay Fire Station, Buff Bay Library and other locations. A right turn from the area is said to connect motorists with Spring Garden, Orange Bay, Black Hill, Hope Bay, St. Margaret's Bay and other communities.

The tour then turns left onto the Northern Coastal Highway, also described as the Orange Bay to Windsor Castle Road. After Leopold Lynch Road appears on the right, the route crosses the Buff Bay River. Apricot Terrace and Pine Grove Drive are noted on the left as links to Woodstock Orchards.

The Orange Grove to Woodstock Road, also called the Buff Bay to Whitehall Road, is listed as another left-side route. It is said to connect with Woodstock, Craig Mill, Straight Over, Lang, Ipswich, Priory Park, Cannon Park, Longville, Whitehall, Orange Grove and other places. The drive later passes Bogue Bay Cemetery on the left before entering the area named as Art Ill.
