Police are investigating the killing of a 23-year-old chef who was shot at his home in Naggo Head, Portmore, St Catherine, during the early hours of Wednesday.
The dead man has been identified as Kenny Kenrick Schooler of Manley Lane in Naggo Head.
According to investigators, residents reported hearing a number of sounds like gunshots coming from Schooler’s premises at about 3:30 a.m. and contacted the police. When officers went to the address, they found spent shell casings near the entrance to the property.
A search of a one-room concrete building on the premises later led to the discovery of Schooler’s body. He was found lying on his side with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to the upper and lower sections of his body.
Schooler was taken to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police have not established a motive, and the Portmore Criminal Investigation Branch is continuing investigations into the fatal shooting.
