St Catherine, Jamaica: Cedar Grove Academy student found dead – Police are investigating the death of a 14-year-old boy at his home in Greater Portmore, St Catherine, on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Davian Armstrong of 1 North Greater Portmore.
Reports indicate that Armstrong was at home around 4:30 p.m. and had completed chores assigned to him by family members. Sometime later, relatives reportedly became concerned when they were unable to locate him.
Checks were carried out around the premises, during which the teenager was reportedly discovered on a staircase. He was immediately taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The police were alerted and subsequently processed the scene as part of their investigation into the incident.
A post-mortem examination has been ordered to determine the cause of death.
The Portmore Criminal Investigations Branch is continuing its probe into the circumstances surrounding the case.
