Rasheen Allen killed in St. Ann police operation in Parry Town, Ocho Rios
A man identified as Rasheen Allen, also known as OC Coco, was fatally shot during a police operation early Friday morning in Parry Town, Ocho Rios, St. Ann.
Police said members of the Area 2 Fugitive Apprehension Team went to a premises in the community after receiving intelligence and were searching for Allen. Officers reported that they met the suspect in the yard and ordered him to stop.
According to the police account, Allen allegedly pointed a handgun at the team, and two officers then opened fire. He was taken to St. Ann’s Bay Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A firearm and ammunition were recovered at the scene. The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) is investigating the incident.
