Nigeria beat Reggae Boyz 3-0 to retain Unity Cup crown

Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz went down 3-0 to Nigeria in Saturday’s Unity Cup final at The Valley in London, as Alhassan Yusuf struck twice to help the West African side claim the tournament for a fourth consecutive staging.

The result gave Jamaica a third final defeat in a row, after also placing second in 2022 and 2025. Nigeria were in front after only two minutes, when Yusuf beat Jamaican goalkeeper Coniah Boyce-Clarke.

The Super Eagles carried that lead into the break, then stretched it in the 59th minute through Terem Moffi after an apparent breakdown in Jamaica’s back line. Yusuf sealed his double in stoppage time, finishing past Boyce-Clarke after the keeper had come forward.
