Retired US soldier receives 22-year sentence for Portland mason's murder
A Portland Circuit Court judge on Thursday sentenced retired United States soldier Emille Tracey, 48, to 22 years in prison for the murder of mason Craig Senior, who was 43 at the time of his death.
Tracey entered guilty pleas to murder and illegal possession of a firearm during his appearance before the court. He received 22 years on the murder count and eight years for the firearm offence. Both terms will run at the same time.
Senior was shot on October 9, 2022, at his Hart Hill home in Portland. According to reports, a motor vehicle pulled up to the property and someone inside called out to him. When he stepped outside to see who had come, he was gunned down and the car drove away quickly.
Police work on the killing pointed investigators to Tracey, who had been in an intimate relationship with Senior's wife. That link led to his arrest and subsequent charges.
