Richard Vernon backs Liberty Business launch in Montego Bay
Richard Vernon has welcomed the launch of Liberty Business in Montego Bay, saying the move reflects more than a corporate name change. He described the company’s decision to establish a presence in the city, along with plans to place its headquarters there, as a strong endorsement of Montego Bay’s direction.
Vernon said the rebranding itself was positive, but argued that the larger signal was the confidence being shown in Jamaica’s second city. In his view, the launch points to Montego Bay’s growing appeal as a place for major business investment.
He said Montego Bay stands out as Jamaica’s leading urban centre for investors, not only because of available real estate and an expanding economy, but also because of the attitude of local leadership.
According to Vernon, the city’s leadership is prepared to work closely with corporate partners and adjust where necessary to support economic growth. He said that kind of cooperation is important if Montego Bay is to continue building momentum and improving its economic prospects.
