Given the close relationship Vybz Kartel and Ghanaian dancehall superstar Shatta Wale have built over the years, speculation is growing that the Worl' Boss could make a surprise appearance at Shatta Fest UK 2026 in London on August 1.

With both artistes set to be in England at the same time, and Kartel scheduled to headline Reggae Land at the Milton Keynes National Bowl on August 2, fans believe he could make the trip to support Shatta Wale while already in the UK.

The event, staged in collaboration with the renowned Ghana Party in the Park, promises a full day of music, dance, culture, and high-energy performances from the Shatta Movement camp.

The two dancehall stars have strengthened their friendship over the years. Shatta Wale previously performed at Kartel's historic Freedom Street concert in Jamaica, while Kartel later featured on the remix of Shatta Wale's track “Street Crown,” a collaboration that was warmly received by Ghanaian fans. Shatta Wale also made a substantial donation to Vybz Kartel's Adidja Palmer Foundation after it launched relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Melissa, further highlighting the pair's close bond beyond music.

While Kartel has yet to perform in Africa since his release from prison, a surprise appearance at Shatta Fest UK would give London's large African diaspora a rare opportunity to witness the dancehall legend share the stage with one of the continent's biggest stars. Although nothing has been confirmed, the possibility alone has generated excitement among fans ahead of what could be a memorable weekend for dancehall in the UK.
