Sagicor earns top AA mark on Jamaica Stock Exchange corporate governance index

Sagicor Group Jamaica has taken the highest AA grade on the Jamaica Stock Exchange Corporate Governance Index after recording 95.5 points in the exchange's latest assessment.
The result forms part of the JSE's 2024-25 Corporate Governance Index Review, which looked at governance across 99 listed companies on the market.
JSE data show the typical listed issuer received a CC rating, placing Sagicor among the strongest performers on governance standards.
Christopher Zacca, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sagicor Group, says the rating reflects the company's commitment to accountability, transparency and discipline leadership.
The group also posted perfect scores in several areas, including shareholders' rights, stakeholder relations, financial statement compliance and company website governance standards.
