Fifteen-Year-Old B.B. Coke Student Charged Over Knifepoint Bathroom Robbery in Junction

A 15-year-old girl who attends B.B. Coke High School in Junction, St Elizabeth, has been brought before the courts after police accused her of beating a younger student in a school bathroom and taking money from her at knifepoint.

The teenager now faces counts of robbery with aggravation and assault occasioning bodily harm.

Lawmen say the confrontation took place around 11:00 a.m. on May 26 on the school compound.

According to investigators, a 13-year-old female student was inside a bathroom when the accused approached with two other females whose faces were reportedly covered.

Police allege the 15-year-old slapped the younger girl three times across the face, then stomped her in the stomach. The victim reportedly suffered bruising, swelling, and pain.

Officers say the encounter grew more violent when the accused allegedly placed a knife against the complainant's neck and took $450 in cash from her.

The incident was later reported to the police, who began an investigation. After their inquiries, the teenager was formally charged. Her court date is still being finalised.
