Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Sells Miami Star Island Mansion for US$55 Million

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has completed the US$55-million sale of his residence on Miami’s Star Island. The price is equivalent to about J$8.6 billion.

The hip-hop figure is serving a 50-month prison term following convictions on two charges connected to prostitution. His sold property contains six bedrooms and eight-and-a-half bathrooms.

The mansion sits beside another home owned by Combs. Federal investigators searched that neighbouring residence in March 2024 while examining sex-trafficking and racketeering allegations against him. Authorities reportedly removed more than 1,000 containers of baby oil and lubricant, along with “various Freak Off supplies, including narcotics”.

A further change to the performer’s expected release date was disclosed last month. The artiste, known for I’ll Be Missing You, had originally been scheduled to leave prison around the middle of 2028.

His projected release was subsequently listed as June 4, 2028, and then advanced to April 25, 2028. The date has since been revised again, with February 23, 2028 now identified as the likely day he will be freed.

Combs has remained in federal custody since being arrested in September 2024. A jury convicted him last July on two counts of transporting people for the purpose of engaging in prostitution.

His trial, which lasted eight weeks last year, produced a mixed verdict. Jurors cleared the rapper of racketeering and sex-trafficking charges but found him guilty of the prostitution-related offences.

A representative for Combs previously said he was treating his sobriety “seriously” while imprisoned. The spokesperson also rejected reports that the entertainer had been found consuming alcohol made inside the prison, maintaining that Combs remained committed to staying sober and drug-free.

Combs was later relocated from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York City, to FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. He had been held at the Brooklyn institution from the time of his September 2024 arrest on several sex-crime allegations.

FCI Fort Dix is classified as a low-security prison and is reported to offer more favourable conditions than the Brooklyn detention centre. Combs’ lawyers sought the transfer because the New Jersey institution provides access to drug-rehabilitation programmes.
