Health Ministry outlines new public health topics for The Wellness Beat season two
The Ministry of Health and Wellness is rolling out a second season of The Wellness Beat, its television and digital public health series.
The ministry said the programme, first introduced in 2024, examines major health matters affecting Jamaicans and explains the actions being taken in response.
For the new season, the series will turn attention to several issues, including efforts to eliminate cervical cancer, increase blood donations and address adolescent mental health.
It will also look at the impact of high sugar, salt and fat consumption in the population, along with the proposed sugary tax and what it could mean for the public.
