Jamaica will have a clear voice in the music surrounding the 2026 FIFA World Cup, even though the tournament itself will be staged in Canada, Mexico and the United States. Shaggy and Shenseea have been named among the performers on the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album, an 18-song release FIFA has presented as its biggest tournament music project so far, bringing together artistes from different regions, styles and languages.
Shaggy is listed on "Love Always Wins", where he teams with Cuban musician Cimafunk and artiste Zema. The collaboration fits the album’s stated aim of linking football with sounds and performers from across the world. His appearance comes after the release of his recent album Lottery and a Brooklyn Day staged in his honour, adding another international moment for the longtime reggae figure.
Shenseea is also on the project through "Echo", a song with Latin star Daddy Yankee. That track has already been released ahead of the full album.
The wider cast includes major names from several markets, among them LISA, Anitta and Rema; Shakira and Burna Boy; The Rolling Stones; Jelly Roll; and 21 Savage. The Jamaican presence in that group underlines the current influence of Caribbean music on the global stage.
NY Carib News reported that many of the featured artistes had not worked together before, with the World Cup serving as the reason for those new pairings.
The album is now open for pre-save on major streaming services. More singles are expected during the tournament, while fans are also set to hear some of the songs at Countdown Concerts in Mexico City, Toronto and Los Angeles, as well as during opening ceremonies in the three host countries.
