Shaneika Ricketts and coach-husband Kerrylee share pregnancy news on 10th anniversary

Olympic triple jump silver medallist Shaneika Ricketts and her husband Kerrylee Ricketts, who also coaches her, are preparing to welcome their first child.

The pair disclosed the news on Thursday in a social media update tied to their 10th wedding anniversary.

"Today we are celebrating 10 years of marital bliss as we anticipate the arrival of Baby Ricketts," they wrote.

A photograph posted with the message showed the couple together, with Ricketts visibly pregnant.

Ricketts, a two-time World Championships silver medallist in the triple jump, will in all likelihood not attempt to retain the Commonwealth Games gold she claimed in Birmingham in 2022.

The 2026 Commonwealth Games are scheduled for Glasgow, Scotland, running from July 23 to August 2.
