
Ten-year-old Shani Coke found slain near Warsop, Trelawny; second death under probe
A 10-year-old girl was discovered dead yesterday beside a dirt road in Troy District, close to Warsop in Trelawny, her throat cut. Authorities have named her as Shani Coke.
Officers were called to the scene and the child was rushed to a medical facility, where doctors declared her dead.
In the hours after that discovery, reports emerged that residents in the same district turned on a man in a mob attack. That victim has been named as Delroy Coke. According to the police, locals allegedly assaulted him with beatings and chopping blows.
Investigators say they are still examining how both fatalities unfolded.
