Sharon Channer-Samuels Overjoyed After Dr Barry Wint Scholarship Confirmation

Sharon Channer-Samuels, a Dr Barry Wint Memorial Scholarship recipient, has opened up about the rollercoaster of emotions she felt when her award was finally confirmed.

On Sunday, she bought the newspaper hoping to find her name among those listed as scholarship winners. When it was not there, she felt low.

That changed once she got in and checked her messages. An email confirmed she had been selected, and the news hit her all at once. She screamed and said, "By God, you are awesome."

Channer-Samuels said she is deeply grateful for the scholarship. For her, it means she can complete her studies with far less difficulty than she might otherwise have faced.
