CNG JUTC Bus Destroyed In Spanish Town Terminal Fire

Passengers at the JUTC terminal in Spanish Town, St. Catherine, faced a frightening scene Saturday afternoon when one of the company’s buses caught fire shortly after entering the facility.

The vehicle was powered by compressed natural gas and had arrived only minutes before the blaze was detected. Radio Jamaica News reported that sometime after 3 p.m., the driver and passengers had already got off the bus when they were alerted that it was burning.

An onlooker told Radio Jamaica News the fire appeared to have started at the back of the bus. No injuries were reported, but the vehicle was totally destroyed.
