Spanish Town Primary are the new InSports All-Island Primary Schools Athletics champions after moving past defending champions License Primary in the closing stages at the National Stadium on Saturday.

Spanish Town ended the meet on 234 points, with License eight points back on 226. Half-Way-Tree Primary placed third with 105.5 points. Naggo Head Primary and Barracks Road Primary completed the top five, while St. John's, Greater Portmore, Lawrence Tavern, St. Richards and Rousseau Primary filled out the rest of the top 10.

The title push came late. Spanish Town, last year's runners-up, entered the final two relays two points behind License but found enough in the 4x200m events to secure their first national crown since 2019. They were third in the girls' 4x200m before winning the boys' 4x200m in a record 1 minute 42.67 seconds. License collected only one second-place finish across those two relays.

Several individual finals also produced close finishes. Cara Morgan of St. Patrick's won the girls' open sprint hurdles in 12.02 seconds, just ahead of License's Dejanae Halton, who ran 12.06. In the boys' race, Remisha Tomlinson of Glen Stuart Primary clocked 11.35 to edge Bronze Foot of Naggo Head Primary, who finished in 11.36.

Kalisia Barkers of License took the Class Three girls' 150m in 20.74 seconds, while Half-Way-Tree Primary's Rajae Jules won the boys' equivalent in 20.39. Sashana Wright of Carisbrook Primary charged through late to win the girls' open 800m in 2:34.90.

Hydel Park Primary set a record in the boys' 800m medley with 1:52.17, and Portsmouth Primary won the girls' 800m medley in 2:04.92. Spanish Town's Joshua Williams, who had already captured the open 400m, added a long jump record of 5.56m.

One Spanish Town representative said the school had invested heavily in preparation and was thrilled to regain the national title. Another credited "hard work and perseverance" for carrying the team through injuries. A License representative congratulated Spanish Town and said disqualification in the medley relays hurt their title defence.
