
St Catherine cops seek armed pair after farmer loses $100,000 in roadside hold-up
Officers attached to the Guanaboa Vale Police Station in St Catherine are looking for two gunmen accused of robbing a farmer of roughly $100,000.
According to reports, at about 11:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17, the farmer was travelling by road in the direction of Barry district. Near a spot known as Eleven Miles, a Toyota Probox pulled ahead of him and forced his vehicle off the roadway.
Two men carrying firearms then got out of the Probox, took a bag in which the cash was kept, and fled in the same car.
The farmer later made a report at Guanaboa Vale, and police there have opened an investigation.
