St Catherine Accused Gets $700,000 Bail in Nephew Murder Linked to World Cup TV Row
A judge at the St Catherine Parish Court has granted Chad Campbell bail of $700,000 while he answers a murder charge over the death of his nephew, Lamar Mullings.
The matter arose from a disagreement about how loud a television was set during a World Cup football match. Campbell's lawyer told the court that self-defence will be a central issue and that his client has a proper address to which he can move.
Under the bail terms, Campbell is barred from entering Ewarton and must not contact any witnesses in the case. Prosecutors say Mullings was stabbed to death during a fight at Campbell's home on June 17.
