Portmore Double-Murder Suspect Charged After Manhunt in Kingston and St Catherine
Solomon Powell, who also answers to the name Salla, has been charged over the double murder of Livingston Garvey and Mario Cross. He is linked to West Great House Circle in Havendale, Kingston, and Central Village in St Catherine.
Garvey and Cross were killed on March 7, 2014, at the intersection of Dyke Road and Hi-95 in Portmore, St Catherine. Powell had been on the run until officers caught up with him after a manhunt that included raids in Kingston and St Catherine.
Powell is now 63 years old. He was 50 when the murders took place. The prosecution shows that even cases left open for years can still move toward justice.
