Stephen Price is urging Jamaican companies to invest in digital transformation as businesses respond to increased online activity following the hurricane.

Price said moments of disruption can create openings for change, and he believes now is the time for firms to modernise their operations so they can benefit from the wider digital shift.

He said traffic across the company’s networks has climbed by more than 40 per cent since the hurricane, compared with pre-hurricane activity. Price described the growth as a sign that digital adoption is increasing across Jamaica.

He said businesses must serve customers through the channels they are already using, but must do so with safety, proper infrastructure and adequate protection in place.

Price also stressed that digital systems should make transactions easier between customers and organisations. He said Liberty Business aims to combine those elements in the digital solutions it plans to offer in the future.
